SHALYATANTRA (DEPARTMENT OF SURGERY)

   Shalyatantra is one of the distinct branch of Ayurveda which incorporates different surgical procedures which are  performed since Vedic era. The students are practically trained and sophisticated teaching facilities are provided with hands on training in surgical cases. The Department of Surgery is mainly focusing on the utility of surgical and para surgical modalities in management of different surgically treatable conditions. Department provides expertise treatment facilities for different Ano-rectal conditions and also provides clinical training for the students on regard of this.

Vision

• To treat various surgical disorders in accordance to the various modern and ayurvedic surgical modalities.
• To  explore the hidden surgical knowledge in ancient samhitas and to train the students in the art of surgical and para surgical procedures.
• To  create budding doctors with efficient surgical skills.

Mission

Utilization of ancient surgical procedures and to incorporate it with modern surgical techniques for  the treatment of different types of surgically treatable conditions.
