Rachana Sharir is the science which deals with the study of human body (cadaver) and mind in relation to its structural

norms. This is one of the vital subject useful not only for first professional students but for all professions. The Rachana Sharir tries to simplify the subject by Comparative and Correlative study with the modern science. Knowledge of Shareera for essential better Rachana is understanding of principles of Chikitsa. It has attracted lot of importance in the field of Surgery. Knowledge of Applied anatomy will make student able to do a preliminary diagnosis of the disease.

Vision

The Rachana Sharir Department is well-equipped with cadaveric dissection hall and museum for focused learning of Anatomy. Anatomy forms the basis for the practice medicine, it leads the physician towards an understanding of a patient’s diseases whether by physical examination or by imaging techniques. Knowledge and skills in the field of Rachana Sharira will enable Ayurveda graduates to practice the medicine successfully.

Mission

Understanding of Ayurveda and modern concept of Shareera. To understand the normal anatomy and applied anatomy of human body to the 1st year BAMS students through theory and cadaveric dissection. To develop a well-organized museum and dissection hall.
