Introduction
Kaumarbhritya (Balroga) is one of the integral parts of ashtang Ayurved. ‘Kaumarbhritya’ word is derived from two words i.e. "Kaumar" means children and "Bhritya" means to take care of. This department deals with preventive and promotive aspects of health in fetus, infants, children and adolescents.
Aim
- To give healthy and highly intellectual children to the society.
• To educate the mother and guardian regarding scientific baby care.
• To inculcate the skills of paediatric management in students through Ayurveda and contemporary science.
Utility
- To reduce the reoccurrence of diseases among children by boosting their natural immunity.
• To improve the academic performance of children by improving their memory & intellect.
• To offer skilled Ayurvedic pediatricians to the society.
Facilities
- Department runs daily OPD and IPD with Panchakarma procedure room facility and physiotherapy unit.
• Departmental museum, library & display charts.
